We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Component Technology Engineer, based in Noordwijk (Netherlands) .

Role Responsibility

The post-holder will focus on the below main responsibilities:

•  Provide expert technical support and consultancy to ESA projects and
programmes regarding passive components throughout all project
phases

•  Participate in project reviews and evaluation of procurement
proposals 

•  Contributing to the definition of technology development requirements
and work plans for the Agency's technology programmes 

•  Defining, initiating and managing R&D activities 

•  Supporting technology domain-related standardisation activities (ESCC,
ECSS)

•  Initiating and monitoring laboratory activities including preparation of test
plans and reviews of test reports, hands-on laboratory activities as
required

•  Contributing to the dissemination of the results of the activities
performed and the transfer of knowledge across the Agency  

Successful Candidate

The successful Candidate will bring:

•  University degree in Electronics Engineering or Physics or equivalent 

•  Applicants should have four or more years of experience in: 

-EEE passive part engineering, preferably for space applications

By passive parts it is understood components such as capacitors,resistors, inductors, connectors, transformers, wires and cables, cable assemblies, fuses, switches, relays, piezo-electric devices and thermistors and also RF passive devices such as circulators and isolators, attenuators, loads, couplers and dividers

•  Important additional assets would be: 

-Experience in general EEE support for Space projects
