Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities :
- You conduct a comprehensive psychological assessment of incoming residents to identify their mental health needs, trauma history, and potential barriers to successful reintegration.
- You provide individual counselling sessions to residents, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and other mental health issues.
- You lead and facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups for residents, focusing on topics such as stress management, coping skills, and building healthy relationships.
- You offer immediate crisis intervention and support to residents in distress, including those experiencing suicidal ideation or self-harm tendencies.
- You collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for residents.
- You provide psychoeducation to residents on various mental health topics and help them develop life skills, emotional regulation techniques, and strategies for independence.
- You maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment reports, progress notes, and treatment plans, in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- You demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when working with a diverse population, considering the unique needs of each resident.

Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in social work and related fields
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of clinical psychology and psychopathology.
- Has advanced knowledge of psychodiagnostics.
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other professionals.
- French and English, Dutch is a plus.
