We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, based in EASA, Cologne, Germany.

 

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will concentrate his/her activities on the following:

  • Business case definition and assessment;
  • Requirements collection and monitoring;
  • Scope and work breakdown definition;
  • Stakeholder identification and management;
  • Activity/Task definition, allocation and monitoring (e.g. work packages or backlogs);
  • Resource estimation, project staffing and resource management;
  • Schedule development, planning and monitoring (e.g. stage plans or sprints);
  • Risk identification, assessment and management;
  • Budget estimation and monitoring;
  • Direct and manage project execution;
  • Provide project management documentation & reporting, e.g. project initiation document, project plan, cutover plan, project management logs (e.g. risk log, change log, decision log, etc.)
  • Facilitate and coordinate project management and governance meetings (e.g. steering group, project board, project team meetings or scrum board meetings), including manage escalation procedure;
  • Perform quality assurance;

Successful Candidate

The Key Person should bring the following skills and experience:

Educational qualifications:

  • At minimum Bachelor.

Technical expertise:

  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and principles (with PMBOK, PMI, Prince2 or SCRUM certification);
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of project management techniques and tools, for waterfall or scrum approach;
  • Professional experience in managing different types of IT projects (web, software, infrastructure and security);
  • Professional experience in handling multiple IT projects in parallel;

Professional experience:

  • Minimum 4 years (Standard level) or minimum 7 years (Senior level) of professional experience in a role as an IT project manager

Language skills:

  • English at level C1 or equivalent

Other competences and skills:

  • Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions;
  • Ability to reach common understanding and agreement from all stakeholders;
  • Experience in multicultural organisations and public sector;
  • Experience in conflict management;
  • Presentation skills (giving presentation to people of all management and team members levels);
  • Ability to use the project management tools and methodologies;
  • Ability to manage one’s own time, even in the face of stressful situations;
  • Ability to prioritize between competing tasks on a rational basis and in a decisive manner;
  • Negotiations skills;
  • Integrity & Professionalism.
