We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, in an International Organisation, based in Brussels.

 

Role Responsibility

You will be responsible for:

  • Complete the tendering process to outsource the European Student Card initiative development and manage the services related to the provision of online services for learners undertaking mobilities through the programme, and the roll out of the European Student Card.
  • Assist with the ongoing tendering and subsequent management of the Erasmus+ App, the Online Language Support system, and the ECHE Self-Assessment system.
  • Assist the unit in liaising with stakeholders and replying to enquiries for example from service providers, issuers of student cards and student organisations.
  • Support the unit in coordinating cooperation with the European Student Card
  • Initiative Digital Officers network that supports the promotion and implementation of the initiative in the Erasmus+ programme countries.
  • Support the unit in its cooperation with DG CNECT, DG EMPL and DG DIGIT who manage files linked with the initiatives.
  • Proactively monitor the progress of IT related projects and help identify and manage risks to the successful outcome of projects by proposing mitigation measures when applicable.
  • Provide support in preparing documents related to annual reporting, meetings with the Commissioner, Directors and Steering Committees and communication activities linked to the initiatives.

Successful Candidate

You should have:

  • Minimum of six years of experience as a Project Manager / Business Manager in IT related projects within the European Commission, including using the PM2 methodology IT development and systems analysis skills.
  • Experience in preparing and managing outsourcing contracts for projects.
  • PM2 Certified.
  • Very good analytical and project management skills
  • Experience in working with the broader Higher Education sector in Europe,
  • Excellent command of English. French would be an asset.
  • Excellent drafting skills in English.
