We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, based in Brussels.

 

Role Responsibility

The key person will be responsible for:

  • Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of  project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem  reporting and management systems, follow up and organisation. 

  • Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each  project to agreed terms of reference. 

  • Analysis, quality control, tracking and monitoring of business workflow application problems and  impediments up to their resolution + coaching of colleagues where a need exists to improve  processes 

  • Redaction of detailed problem descriptions and reports as meaningful input for management and  service team leaders  

  • Review of deliverables : check of the information materials available for end-users : manuals,  wikis, training deliverables 

  • Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide  regular and accurate reports.  

  • Support the supervision of the quality, timing and increment delivery of the final product 

  • User guidance and support regarding the use of information systems / ICT tools, by phone and e mail 

  • Follow-up of service quality in the context of application problems and impediments Participation in user, service and project meetings 

  • Coordination with other project teams 

  • Coordination of wiki sites, collaborative sites or social networks 

  • Management and follow-up of user requests 

  • Communicate on a daily basis with the Service Manager and the other Team Leads.  

Successful Candidate

The key person should have:

  • More than 18 years experience of Business Process Analysis & modelling More than 15 years experience in Iterative Software development 

  • In depth knowledge of large organizations administrative business processes with specific expertise in Procurement, Grants or Financial domains (more than 15 years) Experience in PM² is an asset 

  • Able to draft vision documents and business cases 

  • Knowledge of data quality monitoring and control and data cleansing actions Able to organise, animate and participate in user representatives committees and  tracks/programme meetings 

  • Good knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites (Confluence and Jira) and social networks Experience in definition of Logical Data Model 

  • Strong capacity in preparing and writing reports 

  • Strong capacity to give high-level presentations 

  • Ability to apply high quality standards 

  • Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting  capability and experience in working in team; leadership capability 

  • Excellent organisational skills 

  • Capability to work, draft, and chair or participate to multi-lingual meetings (EN-FR) , good  communication skills. 

  • Excellent knowledge of Relational DBMS, preferably ORACLE and tools like SQL Developer or  TOAD
