We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, based in Brussels.

 

Role Responsibility

The key person will:

  •  Manage the delivery of information systems to meet identified stakeholder needs within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

  •  Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organisation.

  •  Guide the involved teams in charge of technical implementation of the information systems, marketing team as well as architecture and monitoring team.

  •  Engage with involved stakeholders. This includes policy owners as well as users and potential users.

  •  Orchestrate operational governance around the relevant information systems.

  •  Definition of short, medium and long-term strategy with a view to increase the adoption of the relevant information systems.

  •  Preparation and participation in stakeholder meetings.

  •  Support coordination between involved teams facilitating the work towards common strategic goals.

Successful Candidate

The key person should have:

  •  Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies.

  •  Proven experience in the use of Atlassian collaborative tools (Confluence and Jira) is required.

  •  Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit, self-starting capability and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment is required.

  •  Experience from working with innovative technology or innovation in a public sector context is considered a plus.

  •  Good overall technical knowledge and understanding of Building Block technology is considered a plus.

  •  Outstanding communication and writing skills are required.

  •  Ability to give presentations is required.

  •  Good understanding of the political context related to the Digital Agenda and the

  • Tallinn Declaration and Digital Strategy of the European Commission is considered a plus.

  •  Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks.

  •  C2 proficiency level in English is required. Proficient level of French is considered a plus.
