We are seeking a Programme/Project Controller to work on our Customers Site (ESA-ESTEC) in the Netherlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to get into one of the most sought-after space agencies in the world.
Main Responsibilities
As Programme/Project Controller you will concentrate your activities on the following:
- Project & Program Support: Assist in planning, execution and follow-up of projects, including scheduling, procurement, cost tracking and manpower planning.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports.
- Resource Management: Help plan, monitor and control financial and manpower resources, ensuring budget alignment and forecasting deviations.
- Procurement & Contracts: Support tender actions, proposal evaluations, contract commitments and milestone payments. Maintain procurement records and track progress.
- Industrial Return Compliance: Update and verify industrial return data, track compensation measures and ensure procurement aligns with policy targets.
- Risk Management & Process Improvement: Support risk management, maintain data accuracy, analyze deviations and suggest process improvements.
- System & Tool Operations: Use and maintain ESA’s management tools and databases, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
Successful Candidate
Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:
- Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognized Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration.
- 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in managing activities and resources in the aerospace industry, knowledge of finance/accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in resource management tools and office software, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using SAP (ECC and SRM modules); familiarity with ESA corporate applications (e.g., ESA-p) is a plus.
- Ability to quickly adapt to ESA’s environment and IT systems
- Previous ESA experience is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
