Role Responsibility

The ideal candidate will support both daily operations for relevant services and contribute to support the execution of new projects related to Network Infrastructures. He/She should have prior experience in the following areas:

Expert level

• Switching Technologies layer 2 network technologies. CCNA level certification from Cisco or any other networking vendor demonstrating knowledge on the switching area of networking. (VLANs, STP, VTP).
• Layer 3 technologies (HSRP, VRRP, VRF).
• Cisco high availability technologies (Stacking, StackWise Virtual, VSS).
• Wifi Technologies (Cisco Wireless LAN Controller), Cisco Access Points deployment and maintenance.
• Cisco Operating systems (IOSxe, NX-OS).
• Network services (NTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Syslog)
• Network logging systems (Syslog and SIEM log correlation applications, PRTG Network Monitor).
• Administrator/Operator level
• Routing Technologies. Dynamic routing protocols (OSPF and BGP), layer 3 technologies (HSRP, VRRP, VRF).
• Firewalling and UTM Technologies (Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet UTM).
• Network Security techniques and technologies.
• IPSEC and SSL VPN standards and technologies.
• Linux system administration (RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and others).
• Operating and monitoring of infrastructure, systems, and servers.
• Dual Factor authentication systems (radius and tacacs+ servers).

Nice to have

• Next Generation Datacenter knowledge (Cisco ACI, VmWare NSX-T) and next generation networking approach in general (MP-BGP, VXLAN, Clos networks).
• Scripting languages for networking automation (Python3, MS Powershell, REST API).
• Reverse proxy Technologies (F5).
• IDS/IPS Network intrusion detection technologies.

Successful Candidate

• Good experience in the tasks described above.
• Good communications skills in English and good knowledge of Italian.
• Service and Project oriented.
• Professional attitude and service-oriented attitude.
• Availability to work outside working hours and to be part of an on-call schema.
• Ability to work both in service mode for delivery of daily operations and in project mode for the introduction of new service elements.
• Willing to work in a busy team where learning new skills are essential and capacity to share the knowledge with the other team members.
• Other cross-cutting competencies:

It is requested a good knowledge of:

• Incident handling, problem handling: analysis and resolution, problem definition, analysis and resolution: preliminary diagnosis of software and hardware problems, co-ordination with the central IT departments;
• Drafting technical content for knowledge base for use of upstream support teams;
• Evaluation and implementation of security standards;
• Handling of backups and restore operations of systems & infrastructure;
• Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 7, Windows 10/11;
• ITIL service management framework;
• Administration of server virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere Enterprise
