Logistics and Planning Consultant (LAP)

Role Responsibility

Are you looking to secure a career in a public sector environment? We would love to hear from you! 

As Logistics and Planning Consultant (LAP) you will be responsible for:

  • Logistics process assistant in the orders follow-up and receipt
  • Physical inventory management (stocks)
  • Planning and creation of Field technician work orders

For the senior position:

  • Expert in the logistics process of order follow-up and receipt
  • Assisting and coordinating in physical inventory management (stocks) and stock balancing (3 main sites)
  • Coordination of technicians with multiple technical backgrounds

Management

  • Maintain correct defined inventory levels for EP products
  • Develop basic reports on activities
  • Participate in the drafting of operational procedures

For the senior position:

  • Facilitate and steer work meetings with IC

Indicative roles in a project

  • Planning coordinator
  • Stock coordinator
  • Small size work projects supervision ( < 3 man-days)

For the senior position:

  • Planning coordinator and supervisor
  • Stock management
  • Mid-size work projects supervision ( >3 man-days)
  • Ability to animate a site team

Successful Candidate

Analysis and technical skills

  • Capacity to organise delivery schedules
  • Quality control of incoming IT material versus orders
  • Good knowledge of the IT consumer market products
  • Provide assistance in the elaboration of workload planning
  • Analysis of user requests in the domain of RFC.
  • Very good skills in all of the MS office applications
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certified (or where absent, a (TM-1 or FP-2) penalty may apply and the certification must be passed within 3 months after the start of the contract)

For the senior position:

  • Provide expert assistance in the elaboration of workload planning
  • Analysis of complex user requests.
  • Very good skills in all of the MS office applications, including automation skills (VB, scripting, macro's, etc.)
  • Capacity to plan mid and long term taking into account multiple constraints.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certified (or where absent, a (TM-1 or FP-2) penalty may apply and the certification must be passed within 3 months after the start of the contract)
  • ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle Qualification

Experience

  • Completed secondary education (EQF7 Level 4) and 3 years of relevant experience in indicative or similar roles or degree awarded for first cycle of higher education (min. 180 ECTS or equivalent / EQF Level 6) and 1 year of relevant experience in indicative or similar roles or degree awarded for the second cycle of higher education9 (min. 300 ECTS or equivalent / EQF Level 7) in logistics or similar related field

For the senior position:

  • Completed secondary education (EQF Level 4) and 5 years of relevant experience in indicative or similar roles or degree awarded for first cycle of higher education (min. 180 ECTS or equivalent / EQF Level 6) and 3 years of relevant experience in indicative or similar roles or degree awarded for the second cycle of higher education (min. 300 ECTS or equivalent / EQF Level 7) in logistics or similar related field
  • ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle (1 year)
  • Certified (< 3 years ago) in one leading market planning tool

Language and communication skills

  • Fluent in both English/French both written and oral
  • Ability to actively participate in a meeting

For the senior position:

  • Good presentation skills
  • Good reporting skills (formal project reporting)

Organisational skills

  • Ability to develop simple projects in a project tool
  • Team player
  • Multitasking and result oriented
  • Precise and meticulous
  • Stress resilient

For the senior position:

  • Ability to develop complex projects in a project tool
  • Team player and capacity to coach junior LAP
