Local System Administrator

To reinforce our team at one of our prestigious customers in Brussels, Belgium we are currently looking for a Local System Administrator.

Role Responsibility

Nature of tasks:

• Administration of systems or applications with local impact.
• Installation and configuration of system components and server software. Integration of servers in the local environment.
• Server administration.
• Incident analysis and resolution, problem definition: preliminary diagnosis of Software, Hardware and Network connectivity problems, co-ordination with other IT departments and with 3rd party maintenance contractors.
• Advising in areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks, IP address management.
• Maintenance of the server procedures manual and disaster recovery plans related to managed systems and applications.
• User administration and user right management in a Windows environment.
• Scripting/programming skills.
• Print management.
• Handling of backups and restore operations (user data and configuration data).
• Network connectivity troubleshooting.

Successful Candidate

​Profile:

• Advanced IT product knowledge and experience (HW/SW).
• Highly autonomous and IT skilled in IT management tools.
• Scripting/programming skills are preferable.
• Very good skills in all of the MS office applications.
• ITIL V3 Foundation Certified is highly preferable.
• Between 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluent in both English/French both written and oral.
• Conflict management training is highly preferable.
• Flexible to travel (20%)
