Lead Bid Writer

Our Bidding Team has the objective to support this by winning good business. We are therefore looking to recruit a talented Lead Bid Writer to provide expertise to bids with varying subject matter, scale and complexity across our European business unit.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will focus on the following tasks:

  • Supporting individual bid teams in the production of winning responses;
  • ⁠Owning the creation of storyboards and supporting Subject Matter Experts in completing them/ensuring they are adhered to throughout bid development;
  • Working with technical and commercial colleagues to extract information and ‘interpret’ technical/financial solutions;
  • Creating high-quality responses that are well-written, accurate and concise;
  • Working with the graphic design team to produce visually-engaging documents;
  • ⁠Incorporating win themes, USPs, case studies etc. into responses, with the objective of scoring maximum points against the customer’s evaluation criteria;
  • Conducting research to supplement bid responses;
  • Collation and presentation of data to support governance meetings where required;
  • Support Bid Managers and wider bid teams with ad hoc tasks as required;
  • Lead the writing team on a daily basis, supporting junior colleagues and SMEs within operational teams.

Successful Candidate

We would like to see:

 

  • ⁠Ability to deliver high-quality written work under the pressure of tight deadlines;
  • ⁠Ability to grasp and assimilate complex information quickly and apply creative intellect;
  • ⁠Methodical, process-driven and organised approach with excellent attention to detail;
  • ⁠Experience of template creation and document editing;
  • ⁠Highly proficient with MS Office and relevant tools (Adobe etc.);
  • ⁠Excellent communication skills, including relationship development and stakeholder management;
  • ⁠Confident, persuasive and articulate communication;
  • ⁠Excellent English is essential – proficiency in French, Dutch and/or German a significant advantage.
