Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and assistance, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in J2EE, web services and SSL/TLS technologies.
  • Provide expert advice on confidentiality, integrity, authorisation, authentication, availability.
  • Assist the team to test and conduct periodic vulnerability and security risk assessments.
  • Development of Java applications with focus on maintaining a high level of unit tests coverage.
  • Implementation of security and data protection related changes.
  • Design and develop APIs.
  • Design and creation of scalable software, building reusable code for future use.
  • Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify improvements.
  • Testing and bug-fixing.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Performing different PoCs.

 

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

  • EQF 6 (Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE AND TECHNOLOGIES

  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring boot frameworks.
  • Good knowledge in GIT, Maven, Bamboo, Nexus, Crucible, Jenkins and SonarQube.
  • Good knowledge of the Java platform: garbage collection strategies, memory spaces, class loaders, serialization, multi-threading, syntax and semantics of the Java language, APIs of the Java Development Kit.
  • Good knowledge of databases, directories and transactions: Oracle, SQL, LDAP.
  • Good knowledge of message format standards: XML, XSD, XPATH, WSDL, JSON.
  • Good knowledge of operations including networking, hardware and operating systems: TCP/IP, Linux, databases, directories, shell scripts, virtualisation, load balancers, reverse proxies.
  • Good knowledge of Eclipse and IntelliJ.
  • Good experience in security: HTTPS, TLS, OWASP, Content Security Policy, Web Services (SOAP and REST), authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, Open ID Connect) is a plus.
  • Experience in JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience in ServiceNow platform.
