For one of our Customer, a European Institution we are looking for an Application Developer with​ at least 10 years of relevant work experience. 

Role Responsibility

Nature of the tasks

• Development, deployment, integration (with other applications) and maintenance of software applications (including components) following the standards and methodologies established by the Contracting Authority and in line with the established user requirements;
• Prototyping;
• Elaboration of test programs;
• Creation of technical documentation following the standards and methodologies established by the Contracting Authority;
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
• Participation in meetings with the project teams.

Successful Candidate

Knowledge and skills

• Good knowledge of web application development environments;
• Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications;
• Knowledge about responsive, multi-device development (e.g. desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone);
• Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML);
• Good knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, AGILE);
• Good knowledge of relational database management systems (MS SQL and/or Oracle 11g);
• Good knowledge of Application Servers (Oracle WebLogic Server and/or Apache Tomcat);
• Very good knowledge of ECLIPSE (or NetBeans) IDE;
• Very good knowledge of JAVA EE platform, JAVA Programming Frameworks (JSF, SPRING, HIBERNATE, etc.), etc.;
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments;
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication;
• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.

Education and experience

• Minimum 10 years of IT professional experience
