We are seeking for an IV&V Engineer to join our team in Rome, Italy and work on a full time, permanent position with a hybrid working style. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Ground Segment and subsystems verification plans definitions, maintenance, and control
  • Carry out Assembly, Integration, and Verification of Ground Segment and subsystems at all levels
  • Support systems design
  • Interfacing with all subsystems and relevant teams during AIV phases
  • Support to operational and pre-operational phases
  • Authoring of Technical documentation
  • Contribute to ILS team process improvements and achievement of departmental goals
  • Create comprehensive maintenance plans for complex systems
  • Develop strategies for the long-term sustainability of systems
  • Ensure communication plan, escalation plan and product roadmaps are documented and agreed by client
  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Ensure that system configurations are accurately documented and controlled
  • Evaluate system reliability and suggest improvements
  • Handle warranties and claims for faulty equipment or components
  • Implement quality control measures for system components
  • Optimize the application for scalability and performance
  • Oversee the logistics of spare parts and materials
  • Organize training programs for operators and maintenance personnel
  • Ground Segment and subsystems verification plans definitions, maintenance, and control
  • Carry out Assembly, Integration, and Verification of Ground Segment and subsystems at all levels
  • Support systems design
  • Interfacing with all subsystems and relevant teams during AIV phases
  • Support to operational and pre-operational phases
  • Authoring of Technical documentationPerform prototyping, system analysis, development, fielding, and maintenance of systems
  • Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and cost analyses
  • Provide support for the full life cycle of software product development
  • Revision of the Personnel Plan and Training Plan documents
  • Provisioning/procurement such as spares, consumables
  • Support equipment such as tools to be used, test equipment
  • Support facilities and maintenance (ground) activities such as spares, repair management
  • Ground Segment availability analysis
  • Documentation and ILS analysis (such as LSA) support.
  • Software support

Successful Candidate

  • Between 3 - 5 years of working experience in relevant field
  • University degree, preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.
  • Knowledge of System Engineering and System-level knowledge of all Ground Segment subsystems
  • Proficient in working in a Linux environment and hardware virtualised environment
  • Systems Engineering
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management & Technical Documentation Management
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team
  • Full professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory
  • High motivation, proactive working approach and strong sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge of System Engineering and system-level knowledge of all Ground Segment subsystems
  • Proficient in working in a Linux environment and hardware virtualized environment
  • Experience in ECSS AIV process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team
  • University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics Engineering,
  • Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering
  • High motivation, proactive working approach and strong sense of responsibility

Rome's central location in Italy offers excellent transportation links within the city and across the country. The city is well-connected by a network of highways and railways, with Ciampino Airport or Fiumicino, providing convenient access to international destinations.
