IT Technical Manager (English) - Kourou, French Guiana

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a  IT Technical Manager, based in Kourou (French Guiana).


Role Responsibility

Under the direct responsibility of the Agency Manager, the Technical Manager of our IT services contract will have the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

Global management
o Guarantees the technical execution of the services entrusted to it by the client
o Guarantee that the appropriate organization, resources, support, services and procedures are made available to contract staff and their supervisors to enable them to carry out their tasks correctly
o Ensures that the technical resources are available and operational with a nominal workforce

 o The privileged interface with the Customer for all that concerns the "technical" performance of our services (except commercial, financial and / or contractual aspects) and being a force of proposal
o Prepare and lead the various operational contractual meetings with our customers and / or partners (including writing and communication of technical and operating reports within the deadlines)
o Participate in coordination meetings with the Client

•    Technical management
o Understanding / anticipating the technical expectations of the client and proposing suitable solutions
o Coordinate and monitor technical projects in collaboration with the client and with the support of the technical supervision of the contract (Serco or partner)
o Provide periodic duty service
o Ensure the correct execution of corrective and preventive maintenance interventions

o Arbitrate priorities, check intervention conditions
o Obtain and verify intervention and / or maintenance reports
o Control the quality of services: compliance with the schedule, requirements, conformity of specifications, documentation updates, feedback
o Set up and monitor performance indicators
o Ensure the functional administration of the CMMS and the implementation of maintenance plan updates
o Propose evolutions and improvements of the CMMS tool and other tools related to services
o Ensure the effective management of the obsolescence of the Customer's equipment

Team animation:

o Manage and distribute the workload within the teamso Transmit and explain the work instructions and procedures
o Supervise all contract staff with support from management (recruitment, training, annual interviews, performance monitoring, upgrades)
o Identify possible recruitment needs according to the workload and participate in the selection of candidates in collaboration with the Agency Manager
o In general, manage the teams in close contact with the Agency Manager and the Human Resources department

Insurance (including QHSE):
o Ensure that the group's Corporate requirements are applied
o Guarantee compliance with health and safety rules (including those of the Client)
o Identify the risks and implement the actions necessary to reduce or eliminate them

Successful Candidate

The successful Candidate should bring the following skills and experience:


Ideally, the selected candidate will meet the following main criteria:

• Significant and successful experience in technical interface with demanding clients and in strict compliance with established procedures

• Significant and successful experience in managing “small” technical & multicultural teams.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an outsourcing role in a heterogeneous technical environment (Windows, Unix)

• A "service" oriented mindset The position requires an excellent knowledge and command of the French language (spoken & written).

Ideally required skills:

•Qualification (engineer or higher technician type) and technical experience in one or more fields of information technology

• Perfect command of the French language (spoken and written), a good knowledge of English would be a plus

• Knowledge of CMMS, ITIL methodology, project management, ISO standards

• Significant experience in managing an outsourcing contract

• Experience in managing technical teams

• Ability and taste to develop balanced and respectful human relations within multicultural teams but also at high level with clients and partners
