Job Introduction

In Europe, we work closely with our customers to deliver custom-made and specialized services across International Organizations, Space, Immigration, and Defence. We provide tailored services for various public sector bodies including European Institutions, the Belgian and German Defence, the European Space Agency, and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). Our expertise spans IT services, Facility Management, Space Research, and Operations.

We’re looking for an IT Business Analyst , to reinforce the team in our Brussels office!

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and document IT & Business requirements and translating these to functional and technical requirements. When needed you organise workshops and meetings for this.
  • Perform process improvements. Model and map as-is and to-be business processes, gap analysis and improvements to IT systems.
  • You are experienced in running Kanban’s and Boards (Jira) and you understand what is needed to become productive and effective with this way of working.
  • Advise and guide on strategy, organisational and IT topics at a strategic level when requested.
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You know how to connect, to influence and how to convince your stakeholders.
  • Are goal oriented and you can work yourself up from zero. You contribute and deliver with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Can present your work in a clear and understandable way, with the right level of detail, depending on your audience.
  • Collaborate with technical architects to understand technology options and limitations. You recommend solutions and development options to meet business needs.
  • Contribute to training and support for end users who are going to be using new applications, tools and processes.
  • Able to pick up project management related activities when needed.

Successful Candidate

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge, and qualifications

  • Good understanding of creating processes, process flows, BPM2.0
  • Methodical and structured, aware of architecture
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, analytical
  • Mobilising stakeholders and organising workshops
  • Excellent stakeholder management. 
  • Collaboration, negotiation, getting it right, follow through to the end.
  • Confident in working with complex data and systems.
  • Consultancy background, min 10 years’ experience
  • Experience with ITIL, ITSM and ServiceNow
  • Good understanding of Service Management and a Service Desk environment
  • Self-organised. Good time management and prioritising skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Fluent or native English. A plus if you speak German, French or Dutch
