Job Introduction

We are hiring a IS Tester for European Commission DG Informatics (DIGIT TM) in Brussels and various locations around Europe.
Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities :Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
• Definition of test plans and test cases.
• Construction of test scenarios and scripts.
• Execution of tests.
• Test coordination.
• Reporting of test results
Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
• Knowledge of testing technologies, tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in the manual testing (minimum 2 years of experience).
• Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
• Experience in the test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
• Capability to write test cases and review existing test cases.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of development tools to increase test effectiveness.
• Define and customize integration tests and identify open issues.
• Define test plans and procedures for white and black box testing at the unit, module, system and integration levels.
Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good redaction skills, experience in preparation of written reports.
• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application development
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
• Excellent Team Player
