We are hiring an IS Tester for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

As IS Tester you will be responsible for:

• Definition of test plans and test cases.
• Construction of test scenarios and scripts.
• Execution of tests.
• Test coordination.
• Reporting of test results.
• Resolving incidents and problems escalated to the development team as 3rd level of support

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree of 3 years

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Hands-on experience in the manual Testing.
• Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
• Experience in the test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases. Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good redaction skills, experience in preparation of written reports.
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team. Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects.
• Excellent Team Player
• Ability to understand, speak and write English at level B1
• Ability to understand, speak and write French at level B1 is an advantage
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.B.4.004 contain personal and confidential data

CERTIFICATIONS & STANDARDS

• Knowledge of testing technologies, tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in the manual Testing.
• Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
• Experience in the test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

• 1 to 2 years of experience in manual testing
