Europe Payroll Specialist (Italian and English language)

We would love to hear from you and your interest in the new opportunity of Europe Payroll Specialist ! This is a 3-6 month contract with a flexible working location. 

Your role will be to support delivery of a new single Managed Payroll Service into Europe in a consistent and timely manner.  Ensure a smooth handover from in country HR/payroll teams and current external providers.  To ensure this service works with all other integrated data from HR, T&A and Finance systems required to deliver a full payroll service.

You will act as a key interface between the new Payroll and Time & Attendance providers, the wider project team, Europe HR teams, Finance, Tax, Pensions, Internal Audit.  Deliver accurate and timely data to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the new solutions.

 

 

Role Responsibility

As Europe Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Successful implementation and go live of a new Global Managed Payroll Services for Europe on time and to budget.
  • Identify any risks regarding changes and develop a strategy to overcome or address these in conjunction with the project team.
  • Ensure that all payrolls will be delivered in accordance with each country’s legislation and compliance around tax and labour law.
  • Ensure all transactional payroll data can be provided in a timely and accurate manner to the payroll provider via a secure method.
  • Ensure efficient payroll processes are designed, approved and in place for any type of payroll transaction in any country ensuring these are aligned to audit requirements.
  • Use payroll knowledge to support build and testing of payroll system, ensuring any payroll data errors are identified, tracked and rectified.
  • Delivery of key data for each stage of the project with measurable results.
  • Identify any risks regarding data changes and develop a plan to overcome or address these in conjunction with the project team.
  • Ensure key data available for harmonisation of payroll records transferred from each country’s current provider to the new provider.
  • Work as part of the wider project team to drive and deliver any improvement initiatives.
  • Delivery of agreed project objectives.
  • Work alongside the project team and key stakeholders to ensure all parties are working in conjunction to achieve the required outcome.
  • Ensure HR managers within the contracts are engaged in the project.
  • Support any training materials and training requirements for HR/payroll tools.

Successful Candidate

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications

  • Good understanding of Europe payroll and data management
  • A high level of attention to detail to ensure strong data accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and proficient with MS Excel and Word
  • Able to focus on results, work to deadlines and meet performance targets
  • Delivering a customer-focussed service
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Good time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Experience of analysing data and producing reports

Additional / special features of the role

  • Fluent Italian and English is a MANDATORY requirement.
