Role Responsibility

As Electrical / mechanical Technician you will be responsible for:

  • As part of a small team onsite the Sennelager range complex, you are tasked with inspection, maintenance and repair of infantry and tank targets and various associated equipment in use on the military ranges.
  • The equipment has mechanical, pneumatic and electrical/electronic components that need to be repaired or replaced, as required.
  • Most of the work is performed in the workshop but some equipment (like diesel generators) is located on the various ranges and need to be inspected in situ.

Successful Candidate

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • Relevant, practical experience working with and repairing electrical/electronic components (specifically experience with batteries, soldering and repairing circuit boards).
  • Relevant, practical experience with mechanical works and repairs (metal, plastic, pneumatic systems).
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of German HSE regulations.
  • Team-player and open personality – must be comfortable working closely together in a small team and small workshop
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Creativity – must excel at proactively finding solutions for ways to repair things (for some of the legacy systems spare parts are not always available)
  • Customer-focussed: Priority must be binding solutions and getting things done to address the customer’s needs

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED 

  • German / English (most people on site speak German but for communication with the customer, English is required).
  • EU driving license (B): Large site and sometimes equipment has to be transported. A car will be provided onsite for these tasks.
  • Electrical engineering, certified electrical technician, or similar preferred.
