We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Java Software Engineer, based in Madrid (Spain) working on the ESDC Science Data Centre for ESA/ESAC.

Role Responsibility

The post-holder will focus on the below main responsibilities:

•   Back-end development in Java 

•   Support to the front-end development in GWT, Javascript and CSS 

•   Working with PostgreSQL Database 

Successful Candidate

The successful Candidate will bring the following:

Technical Skills

•    Programming languages: Java 1.8, Google Web Toolkit

•    Web and application servers: Apache Tomcat 8.5.x

•    Continuous Integration/deployment: Maven, Jenkins, Nexus(, Sonar)

•    Database: PostgreSQL

•   Versioning control systems: Git, SVN 

•   Operating system: Linux 

Are considered an asset:

•    Python
•   Angularjs
•   WebGL
•   VO protocols
