We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst, based in Brussels.

Role Responsibility

You will be responsible for:

• Analysis and gathering of Business requirements
• Act as Product Owner, including writing user stories and managing the backlog with JIRA
• Design the Business Architecture
• Business models/processes analysis and modelling
• Preparation of test cases and acceptance criteria
• Drafting Agile@EC, PM2 documents and functional requirements documents
• Review of the architecture of existing systems
• Functional requirements and business cases analysis
• Risk analysis
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings, Agile@EC’s ceremonies, and meetings with the stakeholders

Successful Candidate

You should have:

• Good knowledge of information systems matters and their architectures.
• Good knowledge of business process analysis
• Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model etc.)
• Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value
• Good knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
• Experience with mock-up tools (e.g. Balsamiq) and Project delivery tools  (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with requirements gathering, including requirements’ workshops
• Experience in acting as Product Owner, including backlog management, is an asset
• Experience in the writing of User Stories, including acceptance criteria and test cases, is an asset
• Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis
• Capability to speak to business and technical audiences
• Strong capacity to give high level presentations
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
• Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment
• Fluent in English
