We are hiring a Application Developer (with PHP full stack) for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Nature of tasks:
[Essential] Development and maintenance of software applications
[Essential] Development and integration of technological components
[Essential] Implementation of user requirements
Elaboration of test programs
[Essential] Integration with other applications
Writing of technical documentation
[Essential] Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
[Essential] Participation in meetings with the project teams.
Knowledge and skills:
[Essential] Good knowledge of application development environments
[Essential] Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications
Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML)
Knowledge about responsive, multi-device development (e.g. desktop, laptop, tablet,
[Essential] Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, AGILE)
[Essential] Knowledge of relational database systems
Excellent communication / writing skills.
[Essential] Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication
Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.
[Essential] Able to use the office automation tools used in the Commission.
[Essential] Experience in Web Architectures and Technologies and design of information systems
[Essential] Minimum 5 years’ experience in PHP
[Essential] Experience with Core PHP, Symfony framework (or similar), MVC
[Essential] Experience integrating PHP with a different database than MySQL (e.g. Oracle)
[Essential] Experience in developing secure web applications
[Essential] Experience in Apache, Apache Tomcat, Weblogic, Apache Maven or equivalent
[Essential] Experience in Object Oriented design patterns, UML
[Essential] Experience in Testing Frameworks (JUnit, DbUnit, Spock, etc.)
[Essential] Experience in relational databases and Real Time searching techniques (RDBMS, Oracle, MySQL)
[Essential] Experience in frontend frameworks, such as, Angular 8 (or newer) or Angular JS,
[Essential] Experience in development of web services and/or other solutions for interoperability of information systems, SOAP, Rest API
Experience with Agile, JIRA and GIT/SVN
Experience in Secure Authentication Solutions/Services
Experience in Business Process Analysis
Experience in UNIX/Linux, Bash scripts
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to analyse complex documents.
Ability to follow and interpret internal procedures and standards.
Ability to work with imposed deadlines.
Ability to work independently on specific tasks while at the same time functioning as a member of a project team.
Excellent written and oral command of English
