For one of our Customer, a European Institution we are looking for an Application Developer with​ at least 6 years of relevant work experience. 

Role Responsibility

NATURE OF THE TASKS

• Development and maintenance of web-applications.
• Development and integration of technological components
• Implementation of user requirements with a good eye for user ergonomics, user experience
• Migration and updates of web applications
• Integration with other applications
• Prototyping
• Elaboration of test programs
• Writing of technical documentation
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
• Participation in meetings with the project teams.

Successful Candidate

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Very good knowledge of design and development of web applications
• Very good knowledge of scripting languages (Typescript, Javascript)
• Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications
• Good knowledge of web application development frameworks (Angular 5 or later is an advantage).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, AGILE)
• Knowledge of web technologies and standards (e.g. HTML5, XML/XSD, CSS)
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle).
• Knowledge of Java or ColdFusion is an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of English.
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication
• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

• Relevant and recent experience in one or more of the following:
• Very good knowledge of Java/J2EE (including Spring/hibernate framework)
• Proven experience with SOA, Microservices or Web Services and the JEE frameworks and APIs, in
• particular asynchronous communication (advanced queuing) and APIs
• Very Good knowledge of Configuration Management and continuous integration practices and tools like SVN, Git, etc.
• Knowledge of Oracle products like WebLogic is mandatory, Oracle Database 11g is an advantage
• Knowledge of Java JMS and linking with frontend frameworks (Angular/Typescript) is an advantage
• web tools and technologies (HTML5, XML/XSD, CSS, AJAX, JSON)
• incident management systems (Atlassian Jira or similar)
