We are hiring an Application Architect for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

You will join a Team who is working on an Information System that covers a wide range of business areas such as Agricultural Markets & Direct Support, Rural Development, Finances, Audit, Policy Analysis, Agricultural Legislation and International & Quality.

Role Responsibility

It is expected that you will ensure technical directions and choices, will design, realize and validate long-term, reliable and adaptive technical systems.

As an Application Architect, you will review the navigational and structural architecture of existing systems and re-architecture/re-design them according to the Model-View-ViewModel architectural pattern.

You will design and develop application components at the View/Presentation layers.

You will integrate those components with the Model layer for which, after data analysis and modelling, you will design and develop backend modules.

Successful Candidate

  • Experience of at least 5 years in the architecture, design and development of Java applications;
  • Experience of at least 2 years with each of the following technologies:
  1. HTML
  2. CSS
  3. JavaScript
  4. One modern Web framework amongst Angular, ReactJS, VueJS; an experience with Angular2+ will be considered as an advantage.
  • At least 2 years with REST-based web services;
  • Experience of at least 3 years with each of the following technologies:
  1. Spring
  2. JPA
  3. SQL

Experience with Vaadin will be considered as an advantage
