Role Responsibility

The main objective of the position is to provide the development, maintenance and support of automation workflows primarily for Windows systems. Also administer and maintain the underlying Workload Automation system which is based on Automic product. Depending on the case, it might also be required to orchestrate the automation of jobs on Unix servers.

Main tasks:

  • Engaging in requirements gathering and working with internal customer personnel (functional,non-functional, resources, estimated effort);
  • Acting as single point of contact for project teams if required;
  • Contributing in the design, development, testing of automation solutions;
  • Maintaining existing automation workflows;
  • Supporting customers and managing incidents related to automation workflows;
  • Analysing production workflows and making recommendations to improve job schedule performance, resilience and robustness;
  • Preparing high level design and low level design documentations;
  • Proactively identifying and proposing improvements to services, technologies, processes and documentation in order to increase systems availability, stability, improve customer experience;
  • Planning, preparing and executing Workload Automation system components upgrade and maintenance activities (Application Server, Web Interface, Database, Remote Agents, Proxy Servers etc.);
  • Additional desirable technical competencies: a working knowledge of MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate should have at least  5 years of relevant experience.

General specifications
Position-specific expectations (all mandatory)

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information system security, or related disciplines Team lead experience;
  • Engineering and design experience.

Generic technical competencies (all mandatory)

  • Very good command of English with proven drafting ability;
  • Knowledge in any of the workload automation tools and enterprise job schedulers, e.g. Stonebranch, RedWood, CA, UC4/Automic (preferred) – both as a developer and administrator;
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (2008/2012), DNS, Group Policy, DHCP, Windows Server 2008/2012, VMware vCenter, Exchange, PowerShell, batch and bash scripting;
  • Experience working with ITIL processes and operating mission-critical IT infrastructure environments (e.g. in financial service, IT hosting or defence industries), working in mixed operating system and database environments (including Windows, ESX, Unix, Linux, MS SQL;
  • Server, Oracle technologies) and managing the creation and maintenance of support documentation.
