Technical Consultant (JEE 6, Architect, EJB)

Job Introduction

An excellent position has arisen in Brussels  for a Technical Consultant - with expertise in J2EE and EJB3, who will be supporting our prestigious customer.

Role Responsibility

Being able to understand well requirements analysis and application for client/server systems and web applications.

•          Technical design and implementation of JEE 6 web information systems

•          Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with information systems.

•          Assistance to the definition of internal methodologies and application lifecycle

•          Configuration, maintenance and support for software products

•          Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

•         JEE 6 environment and standards

•         EJB3

•         UML Modelling and RUP Methodology

•         XML, XSLT, FOP, SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA, JAVA scripts, HTML, JSF, CASE tools, JUNIT, J2EE, ANT scripts, UNIX, Vaadin, jQuery.

•         Tools: ECLIPSE, Maven, RTC , TOAD, XML Spy

•         Knowledge of Rational Team Concert or similar collaborative source-control products.

•         Ability to cope with the fast changing technologies used in web applications management.

•         Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (FR-EN).

•         Ability to understand and be understood.

Knowledge and skills

•          In depth knowledge of information systems matters.

•          In depth knowledge in IT consulting matters.

•          Proven experience in JEE 6 web information systems development using java technologies, particularly EJB version 3

•          Knowledge of interoperability technology and in depth knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) (e.g. web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus)

•         Knowledge of Rational Team Concert or similar collaborative source-control products.

•         Working experience of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, SCRUM).

•         Good practical experience with scripting tools

•         Good knowledge in relational databases management.

•         Good knowledge of UML Modelling language.

•         Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design

•         Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills.

•         Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.

•         Ability to apply high quality standards.

•         Very good communication skills in both English and French.

•         Very good interpersonal skills and at least two years' experience of liaising with end user and technical teams.

•      Expertise in both niche technologies is mandatory: very good knowledge in J2EE and EJB3.
