Role Responsibility

We are looking for experienced Systems Administration Specialist to work in a large volume project team for a prestigious European customer. Although the role is primarily focused on some System Administration activities, any experiences in wider Infrastructure / Security / Network management tasks are a real advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

• Management of the Backup infrastructure and all associated components;
• Management of the Storage infrastructure;
• Management of the virtualization architecture;
• Management of software distribution infrastructure;
• Management of Linux based applications and services and associated operating systems components;
• Ensure that all assigned services systems are compliant with the security requirements;
• Contribute to processes and plans for capacity, availability, monitoring;
• Contribute to processes and plans for business continuity, disaster recovery, contingency planning, security;
• Ensure all requirements are fulfilled at all times, including performance;
• Contribute to the evolution planning for the assigned infrastructure components;
• Report and Plan necessary variations in the capacity of the services;
• Monitor availability, performance and capacity of the services;
• Deploy and maintain the service tools, and ensure the availability and usability of the tools.

Successful Candidate

You should have a Degree in computer science, computer engineering, system analysis or related field of study, other additional technical certifications are appreciated.

You should also have minimum 5 years experience in

• Infrastructure management (e.g. sys admin / Solution Architect) with network & security experience;
• Planning and coordination skills (Project experience very valuable);
• Communication in international environments;
• Technical Reporting and documentation;
• Strong communications skills and ability to produce high quality technical material;
• Strong experience in moving from Physical to Virtual.

Any combination of the following skills / experiences:

• Backup services, preferably with Commvault. Networker is an additional value;
• Enterprise Storage devices, preferably Netapp. EMC is an additional value;
• Virtualization products with VMware vSphere. VMware vCloud and RHEV/oVirt are additional assets;
• RedHat Storage (server) or equivalent
• Software distribution with Miscrosoft SCCM. Linux based software distribution products knowledge is an additional value;
• Linux operating systems administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Open Source products knowledge is an additional value;

Any combination of the following skills are additional assets:

• DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, Routing, Firewalling;
• Microsoft Windows servers, Microsoft Active Directory;
• RDBMS systems (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, DB2);
• IBM Domino Administration/Development
• Development (MS and Linux Scripting, C#, PHP, PLSQL)

You should be able to work in an international environment with fluent written and spoken English and can do attitude.
