For one of our prestigious customers in Brussels we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer - LAN with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Role Responsibility
Provide technical services and support for the following areas:
- Network Management, monitoring and debugging;
- Application delivery control and load balancing;
- Common Operating system;
- Internal systems and network infrastructure;
- Perform network assessments;
- Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review;
- Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure;
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages;
- Be available for other engineers and coach them to resolution.
Successful Candidate
Education and qualifications:
Essential:
- Higher education in Computer Science, electronics, telecommunications or relevant subject;
- CCNA Routing and Switching;
Desirable:
- CCNA Data Center;
- CCNA Cyber Ops.
Knowledge and skills:
Essential:
- Minimum 10 years of Excellent knowledge of administration of Ethernet switching and routing systems in large networks (>1000 nodes) on UTP and fibre optic cabling;
- Minimum 5 years of excellent knowledge of network management, monitoring and debugging tools and Performance monitoring;
- Minimum 5 years of very good knowledge of CISCO & Nexus application Switches;
- Minimum 5 years of very good knowledge of F5 Application delivery controller, load balancing;
- Minimum 5 years of excellent knowledge of administration of Fortinet & CISCO firewall systems, content inspection, firewall statistics and related security tools;
- Minimum 5 years of good knowledge of Bandwidth Management Solutions;
- Minimum 3 years of excellent knowledge of SSL offload devices; (SSL acceleration, SSL VPN solutions) and High-grade encryption;
- Minimum 3 years of excellent knowledge of networking for common operating systems;
- Very good knowledge of DHCP/DNS Infoblox, Trinzic 825 w/ Network Services One and Grid;
- Good knowledge of Crypto devices;
- Good knowledge of proxy servers;
- Good knowledge of UTP and fibre cabling systems;
- Excellent knowledge of dial-in systems with authentication and encryption;
- Experience in managing highly available environments and multiple site support;
- Experience in disaster recovery management at network level;
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of CyberArk;
- Basic knowledge of application layer XML filters;
- Good knowledge of appliance based caching and anti-virus solution;
- Good knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems.
Languages, Protocols, Standards and Methodologies
Essential:
- Minimum 10 years of excellent knowledge of TCP/IP Data Networks (including CWDM, QOS);
- Minimum 10 years of expertise in network protocol;
- Minimum 5 years of Expertise in network security;
- Minimum 5 years of Telecommunication protocols (VoIP, H232);
- Minimum 5 years of good knowledge of TCP/IP Voice Networks (including QOS, POE, …);
- Minimum 1 year of Structural cabling;
Desirable;
- ITIL (change management, incident management, configuration management, availability management);
- Experience in project management.
